Search for an item on your BlackBerry® device
Start typing on the Home screen.
Search for a contact in a list of contacts
Type part or all of a contact name, or type initials separated by a
space.
Search for text in a message
Press S
Search for text in a file or an attachment
Press F
Search for text on a web page
Press F
Search for text in a presentation
Press F
Note: You can change what happens when you type on the Home screen.
To search for text in a presentation, you must view the presentation in text view or in text and slide view.
